I get stressed whenever I practice or play… and -especially- when someone is watching or I have to perform for someone. If anything, picking up an instrument has made me for anxiety stricken over these past years.
I associate the feeling of practicing/playing in front of people with public speaking. Yuck!

It just depends on the person. If you’re a person who just loves music more than anything in the world, you’ll find it a great escape to play and "get away from the world." If you really love music you’ll just love the chance to get to practice and perform your talent for others. Performing for others is just something not everyone is good at though, and normal to be nervous.

Yes indeed as the previous Answerer says, "It is a Healing Herb!"

Years ago I was prescribed Valium…
i took the Valium for quite some time…
then i happened across an Apothocary who told me, actually gave me an herbal prescription for an herbal substitute for Valium:

1/2 ounce Valerian Root
1/2 pint of Ginger Brandy

Shake well each time you use it

take one teaspoon as needed

IT ABSOLUTELY WORKS

I suppose you could go
to the health food store and get the Valerian Root in capsule form and take it as a capsule….
but, it will not have the same affect!

go ahead and get the capsules
break ‘em apart…
’til you get about a 1/2 oz of the herb
mix with 1/2 pint of ginger brandy

this will not give you the "kick" of a valium
but…it will definitely help with your stress

one thing to know:
before you start messing around with Valerian Root Powder: IT STINKS!
It smells worse than week old gym socks

Give it a try

IT ABSOLUTELY WORKS!

(if you are having trouble sleeping, try: SCULLCAP TEA before your retire)

I want it to be COMPLETELY unreadable (I’m a paranoid S.O.B.) and so I was wondering if anyone got any creative ideas to destroy a hard drive. I could really use some stress relief, so anything involving a battle cry would be great.

I’ve heard baseball bats and hammers aren’t 100% effective though.

Thanks! Personal stories would also make my day =)

Substitute the printer for the Hard drive

I have had chronic anxiety for at least 14 years, if not longer. Any time of day, regardless of what I am doing, I feel that anxious burn in my Solar Plexus. I would like to know if anxiety is more of an imbalance of neurotransmitters or hormones, and how does it manifest physically to cause the burning in your stomach? Any other bits of knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

Anxiety can make it seem like anything is happening. I, myself, had a lot of anxiety issues out of getting sick from no where and I have never liked doctors and medical stuff. You can convince yourself that anything is happening when you are going through anxiety. I was convinced I was dying, but look, I’m alive and well, and over my anxiety too. If you are looking into taking medicine for your anxiety which really helped me I would recommend what I used to get over anxiety in around 4 months with this: Propranolol. Hope this helped.
