			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I admit, I haven&#8217;t been on in a while, but it&#8217;s just wow! I can like get myself something good to eat amd sit here for hours just reading other peoples problems trying to help out, it&#8217;s also a lot of fun things to read here, and you learn a lot. I really appreciate this website, it gives me time to set me into problems that for once aren&#8217;t mine, gives me something else to think of than school. Great stress relief from my point of view, do you share the same opinion?<br />
<br />I agree. I really, really appreciate this site. Whenever I&#8217;m anxious or feeling sick, it distracts me. When I&#8217;m sad, I try to help others and it makes me feel better. When I ask a question and get an answer, it makes me super happy, and it makes me even happier to answer someone else&#8217;s question and hope that I&#8217;m brightening their day, too. Offering my advice and experiences really makes me feel like I&#8217;m doing something good for someone else. And I like that feeling.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve been suffering from anxiety disorder and depression 2 years now and in those 2 years my social skills have dropped tragically and i have zero confidence when it comes to asking a lady out on a date or anything like that.<br />
Im seeing a therapist a couple of times a week and im improving little by little but still a long way to go </p>
<p>was just wondering if anyone else here who suffers from depression or anxiety disorder could tell me do they have the same problems ?<br />
<br />Was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder a few years ago. Had to be pulled out of high school because of panic attacks. The drama, rejection, and social aspect of everything brought me to a very suicidal state and even to the state of wanting to harm everyone around me. </p>
<p>I got really bad and left my house very rarely. Year and a half of therapy and family support later I actually starting dating a girl. Then she cheated on me with some jock loser. Which reveres all the progress I made <img src='http://zenizone.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' />  </p>
<p>I have the panic attacks back under control and am able to go out for a small amount of time and be okay,  but as far as friends, family and relationships, I have had little improvement. </p>
<p>It is made so much worse when no one cares, believes you or even realizes you&#8217;re alive. I don&#8217;t consider myself loved by anyone and am sure that will continue for some time. </p>
<p>I don&#8217;t have much advice, but you&#8217;re not alone. In a society that so harshly outcasts those who are different, shy, etc, we have to at least try and be there for each other. </p>
<p>Sorta just waiting for my guardian angel to come along and pick me up off the floor..</p>

<br />I don&#8217;t know what works for others but I always think ahead.  By that I mean what the day will be and how I will feel after the stressful event.  I think, &quot;just get it done.&quot;  I also have a punching bag-just putting on my gloves and knowing I get to beat the hell out of something makes me feel sooooo much better!</p>

<br />I give myself mommy time after my kids have gone to bed. In your case it would be daddy time.  During my time I do things in house of course that I enjoy doing.</p>

<p> When it&#8217;s nicer out. I often sit on the porch and just listen to to peace and quiet.</p>
<p> If school is still in when it&#8217;s nice out. I also enjoy doing just about anything outside. Anything to get me out of the house.</p>
<p> I also find I am less stressed after my kids have all have done activities to wear themselves out.</p>
<p> Don&#8217;t be afraid either to have your boys help you out around the house. They can pick up their own toys, bring their own clothes to the laundry, put their own clothes away, run a vacuum, take their dishes to the sink, they can even help with dishes rinsing, drying, and putting away.</p>
<p> When my husband feels stressed he likes to work out. It helps him out a lot.</p>

I seem to be in one place but another in mind, never really with it and often finding myself not really listening to people even going into a trance and finding it hard to snap out of going into myself. I have been under a lot of mental stress lately, loss of someone close, generalised anxiety, became a new mum, moving house i could go on. Could this just be severe stress or could i be going mad?<br />
<br />Yes, absolutely severe stress can cause many issues. This certainly includes your mental functioning. Difficulty concentrating, lack of focus, grief issues (&quot;lost someone close&quot;), new mother, moving.  Your stress is very high at present.<br />
Also generalized anxiety can be a separate issue or it could be connected with the stress you are experiencing. I do hope that you will consult your Dr or other health care provider to discuss these issues in depth.  If you do have depression it is very amenable to treatment with the caution that treatment is more helpful the earlier you take yourself to your Dr. (many of the symptoms you mention are indicative of a depressive disorder). thats wud be the first step.. just have a laugh..<br />
step back fromt he issue.. and see it as a minor thing u just have to do&#8230;<br />
make a date with a friend.. or plan something right after.. so u have something to look forward to..<br />

no matter what u do.. u will feel anxiety leading up to the event of speaking right?<br />
well its just like walking in late to class..<br />
u know ur late.. ur heart is racing.. u have to get there.. but everyone will be sitting down..<br />
the best thing to do in both these situations.. is to just forget about it..<br />
i mean.. having anxiety and going crazy over it.. or not going crazy isnt going to make things better.<br />
the outcome of what u have to do.. will be there anyway&#8230; so instead of having anxiety..<br />
just have neutrality.. brush it off..<br />
dont think about it. forget it.. what will happen will happen. one way or the other..<br />
its the pre-thought that fucks everybody up. so the best thing to do is act like u dont care.<br />
and it will work out trust me.</p>

<br />I wouldn&#8217;t trust anything like that anything that is a do it yourself is a scam. There is an excellent short term therapy for anxiety and stress called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety. With this therapy you learn to recognize the thoughts that lead up to your anxiety and you learn to change them to positive thoughts&lt;</p>
