I have had alot of stress on me lately. What is the best way to manage stress without medication? I don’t have a bathtub so I can’t take a bubble bath. :( Yes I have a way of cleaning myself. Its a walk in shower. Anyways, do you have any suggestions to help lower my stress?

you have a walk in shower ok so turn the water up as high as you can stand and then sit in the bottom of the shower or stand and just relax under the spray that is one thing i do when i don’t have time for a shower, or i go outside at night and listen the silence while sipping tea. sorry but those are the only things i can think of.

long walk (try concentrating on what you see particularly if thoughts about what is stressing you creep in)
    go to the gym
speak to friends/family making sure they understand whats off limits

edit just found this on web
not read it but might be good

You have a few ways to relieve stress

    1. Go to a gym and kick the living crap out of a punching bag

    2. Find a quiet place..nobody around..dim the lights..close the blinds..sit down ..close your eyes..and breathe in and out..listen to yourself breathe…do that for 15 mins.

    3. Confront and Resolve the source of Stress (obvioulsy if smart and safe to do so)

    4. Put things into 2 categories. Things you can control and things that you can’t. If you can control them, then do something about it. If you CANNOTcontrol them, then SERIOUSLY.. you can’t do anything about it..Relax..it’s not in your hands..let things happen (often that’s a huge source of stress..i.e. WOrryng about crap we can’t influence).

Stress relief is only possible by putting basic techniques of stress management into your every day practice. A good start is by learning to relax, while keeping a writing record of your feelings and fears. Alternative medicine is contributing to self-management through easy holistic techniques that anyone can practice safely, and effectively, at home.

Deep breathing, exhaling through the mouth instead of nose, relaxation techniques, including Yoga and Tai Chi, are just a few that does not require a high degree of professional skills. Holistic offers also a number of tools promoting relaxation, hence stress relief. Bach Flower remedies and autogenic relaxation (self-suggestion) are the most common to choose.
